Decriminalize Oshkosh approaching finish line on signature campaign

Activists with Decriminalize Oshkosh have exceeded the number of signatures needed for their direct legislation campaign to reduce local cannabis possession fines as the end of the 60-day effort approaches.

Earlier today, Cannabadger reached out to Mark Kelderman, who has been spearheading both this campaign and the earlier one in which the city attorney rejected signed petitions over their format.

Oct. 30 New Date For Milwaukee Statewide Medical Cannabis Tour Stop

After stops in LaCrosse on Oct. 17 and Wausau and Green Bay on Oct. 18, the statewide medical cannabis tour by Rep. Chris Taylor and Sen. Jon Erpenbach will make it's next stop Monday, Oct. 30 in the Milwaukee area at the McCarty Park Pavilion 2567 S. 79 St., West Allis, WI 53219.

Wisconsin Senate Committee passes Industrial Hemp Bill in 9-0 vote

MADISON: Bipartisan industrial hemp legislation Senate Bill 119 http://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2017/related/proposals/sb119 cleared the Wisconsin Senate Committee on Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism on a unanimous 9-0 vote Wednesday morning, per the office of Sen. Patrick Testin, senate lead sponsor.

Erpenbach and Taylor launch Statewide Tour Promoting Medical Cannabis Bills

The following is from a press release from Sen. Jon Erpenbach and Rep. Chris Taylor issued on October 16th. The first stop is today in LaCrosse at the UW-LaCrosse Student Union. The tour continues tomorrow, Oct. 18, with stops in Wausau and Green Bay. A Milwaukee stop is planned for Oct. 26. The legislative tour is an effort unseen before as Wisconsin continues it's long debate over legal access to medical cannabis.

The Wisconsin Senate Committee on Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism will hold an executive session on Senate Bill 119 on October 18, 2017 at 10:30am in Room 400 Southeast at the Capitol.

With the Oct. 10 public hearing looming, Rep. Dave Considine (D-Baraboo) offered 3 amendments to the Republican-sponsored bipartisan industrial hemp bill AB183/SB119 on October 6, 2017. The first regards DOJ background checks, the second has to do with importing seed and the third tribal issues. The Amendments are below with deleted text from the bill following:

Tuesday, October 3, 2017 marks the 45th “cannaversary” of the first time I smoked cannabis before a visit to my ophthalmologist for a glaucoma checkup and discovered cannabis had the potential to save my sight from a lifetime of glaucoma. This is also the 200th article I’ve posted on Cannabadger since we launched March 20, 2015. Cannabadger is also approaching its 2 millionth visit per Google Analytics.
