Senate Bill 10, sponsored by Sen. Van Wanggaard (R-Racine), Relating to: definition of tetrahydrocannabinols and the use of cannabidiol, passed the full Wisconsin Senate today by a 31-1 vote in favor. The sole vote against came from Sen. Duey Stroebel (R-Saukville), one of several senators who helped kill last session’s version of the bill in the last moments of the last senate session. Not voting was Sen. Chris Kapenga (R-Delafield).
The bill earlier passed out of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety Feb. 2 on a 4-0 vote
SB10’s companion bill, Assembly Bill 49, sponsored by Rep. Scott Krug (R-Nekoosa), was recently assigned to the Assembly Committee on Children and Families. The committee website does not yet indicate any hearing date.
